Caen Community Primary School

At Caen children in Y1+ are taught PE by a specialist teacher once a week with the class teacher teaching the class for another session. The teaching of PE, participation in school sport and encouraging physical activity is very important to us at Caen. We have invested significantly in challenging playground equipemt so the children can have active playtimes and Y5 children lead active lunchtimes for the younger children. We also pay attention to our local environment which is why all Y6 have surf lifesaving as part of their normal school PE curriculum. All children take part in these water and beach sessions which we run at Saunton Sands.
